Anywho, I'm going to have to make more pants. (Made in USA jeans at the stores are very pricey) It's starting to feel chilly out, and I only own one full length pair of jeans. I can't gain or lose any weight during this project apparently, because the denim I own has NO spandex.
At work, one of the perks was access to a wide array of fabrics (until the fabric was moved to the warehouse). Before the move, I took all the denim I could get my hands on (yes, with permission) to make pants/skirts. Now I have a mountain of denim blocking the sun from my craft room window, and I haven't made a pair in months. I better get to that!
NOTE: I do not have any pant making training. I do know how to sew, though. All I did was disassemble a pair of Made in China jeans I already owned that fit well (they were 7 years old with paint and resin splatters). Once I took the jeans apart at the seams, I traced all the pieces onto denim and sewed a new pair, using another pair of jeans for assembly reference.
