I am so happy to have a sewing line today with my lovely friend, the Other Anna. Note: We call it a line because we don't have enough people to do a "sewing circle". It's just us!
Anywho, though the point is to sew, it's really an excuse to talk, catch up, giggle, and look at cute celebrity men online. Scrawny and buff alike. But, in spite of all that, we did get our Made in USA sewing groove on! I was working on a dress I started about 7 months ago, but neglected because the collar was too hard. She started designing and making a skirt. It's so fun, and it's great to have a buddy to get you motivated to finish an ancient project! I'm almost done with the dress, by the way! Just have to put on buttons and finish the sash. Photos will be up soon when I can finally wear it!
Hello! I'm a 30 year old gal with a liking for doing year long projects. I've done a year without any form of chocolate, a year without coffee shops, and 5 years without gum (and I LOVE chocolate, coffee shops, and gum)! A year wearing only American Made should be the hardest yet, though*.
