And today I remembered just how nice the beach really is! Ahhhhhh.....
Brian and I went to Newport Beach for the afternoon, and at first I felt secretly dubious....you know, Newport has a snooty reputation. However, after sunshine walking, sharing a "lobster lover" platter, drinking a margarita, and being gifted with a surprise box of Girl Scout peanut butter cookies (thank you Brian!), I was pretty sure that nothing beats SoCal in February.
In addition to all this gloriousness, there were several Made in USA notes that I encountered along the way.
1) The Koala Care diaper changing station in the restaurant bathroom was Made in USA!
2) I was really jazzed to wear my new porcupine quill earrings that my mom got me, Made in Montana.
3) Brian and I saw a skirt, and the label read "Made in USA, Assembled in Mexico". What the heck does that mean? I thought assembling and making were the same thing!
Hello! I'm a 30 year old gal with a liking for doing year long projects. I've done a year without any form of chocolate, a year without coffee shops, and 5 years without gum (and I LOVE chocolate, coffee shops, and gum)! A year wearing only American Made should be the hardest yet, though*.
