A day of comments. While wearing this vintage "College Campus" brand dress at work, I was told I looked cute, like a stewardess (I think "flight attendant" is too modern a term for this dress), and like Dorothy. Then Brian told me I also looked like a stewardess, and like a happy homemaker ready to go on a picnic. Oh boy.
I don't know how old this dress is, but it's dated by the fact that it says "Dallas" on the tag to indicate where it's made. Even though the dress fits well, I always feel silly wearing it, which is why I haven't worn it during this project. Maybe it's the combination of all over polyester with a gingham skirt and polka dot tie. Who knows, but I figure if you're going to wear it, you might as well enjoy it!
Incidentally, the book I just finished reading, "Cocktails for Three" is Printed in the USA. Ironically, the story was set in London. It's a cute book!
Hello! I'm a 30 year old gal with a liking for doing year long projects. I've done a year without any form of chocolate, a year without coffee shops, and 5 years without gum (and I LOVE chocolate, coffee shops, and gum)! A year wearing only American Made should be the hardest yet, though*.
