Anywho, today after sleeping, hiking, and enjoying a grilled cheese lunch, I decided to go shopping at Bebe in Brea. I went to the Bebe in Vegas, but I didn't want to make Brian's parents wait while I tried everything on and wavered between different American made outfits. Today at Bebe I tried on about half the American made items in the store. And there are a TON! In the end, I settled on a pair of polka dot jeans, and a coral top. $140. Yow. A few weeks ago I was opting not to buy sixty five cent soda from the vending machine to save money.
Before hitting Bebe, I decided to reupholster my dining chairs, so of course I had to go to the local hardware store, and buy an $18 staple gun, plus staples. Thankfully, those were also Made in USA!
Maybe I'm using this project as a means of justifying shopping. If it's Made in USA, it must be ok. Right?
I must say though, that anyone who says it's impossible to find Made in USA needs to look a little harder. While browsing the mall, I found American made items at Nordstroms, Bebe, and Urban Outfitters, and also at the hardware store, and Joann's Fabrics! It's there!
Actually, maybe staycation is good for me. I hope the gluttony just balances out a bit...
