Firstly, though, I got my first outfit compliment from a hobo. While waiting for his bus, he said he liked my "get-up". I guess everyone can appreciate American made! Afterwards, we ran into a craft fair where we found a booth of locally made magnetic jewelry by "Stella Magnetics". Apparently wearing these magical necklaces or bracelets alleviates aches and pains!
Next, we checked out "Gloss," a boutique on Main Street, and American Apparel. Gloss actually had a ton of great Made in USA clothes at reasonable prices, but the sales gals were a bit too pushy with their puppy-like following. Regardless, I got my first ever floor length skirt, so I'm excited to wear it. It is Diosa brand, and cost $42.11 with tax.
At American Apparel, Brian got me a stretchy new pair of work out leggings, but I was REALLY disturbed to see Made in China umbrellas and watches in the store. Please. I just got an email yesterday from them saying their stores are sweat-shop free, and everything is Made in USA under fair labor conditions. They really need to remove those items, or make their umbrellas in the USA. Such a scandal!!!! Gasp!
Regardless, it was a good day, and I found new clothes, and resources for this crazy project! Success!
