Amber sent me a MSNBC article about how Made in USA manufacturing is on the rise, not for patriotic reasons, but economic reasons. As manufacturing and shipping are getting more expensive, so are the items ( the good ol' "Money Talks, B___ Sh__ walks" philosophy).
That led me to another article about a website called "Maker's Row" that links you to fabric, bead, button, and pattern sources, all Made in USA. It's great for people like me who want to sew their own clothes, but find many of the supplies to make a "Made in USA" garment are actually made overseas. So great there is a source to get those items here. Good for my wedding dress project! http://makersrow.com/search
Hello! I'm a 30 year old gal with a liking for doing year long projects. I've done a year without any form of chocolate, a year without coffee shops, and 5 years without gum (and I LOVE chocolate, coffee shops, and gum)! A year wearing only American Made should be the hardest yet, though*.
