1) Arches Nation Park. Wow, what a place! But this is not a national park blog, so I will not babble.
2) Melanzana, the MADE IN USA CLOTHING FACTORY in Leadville, Colorado. I wasn't looking for this or anything. Brian and I just stumbled into this cute store front at night. I peeked through the windows and saw about 10 sewing machines in back behind the racks of outdoor clothing. The next day we returned, and I was so amazed to see local town-women just sewing away making active-wear. Of course, I had to buy something, so I got a nifty green sports bra (at $36 it was the least pricey thing there, but it's very nice).
Leadville, CO is the highest elevation town in the USA, and it's a halfway tourist town, but half abandoned mining town. I so appreciate this company having it's factory there to make jobs in a beautiful place where jobs are scare, and making clothing that befits the mountain environment. If you need any outdoor clothing, this is the place to buy from!
